Naturally Leavened, Neapolitan pizza

 

Our pizzas are 100 percent naturally leavened with no commercial yeast or additives. Following a minimum 48 hour fermentation, our homemade dough is topped and Then baked at over 800 degrees in a Traditional Italian wood oven.

We let quality ingredients speak for themselves. From our pizzas to our salads, nearly every Il Leone ingredient comes from either Maine organic farms or Italy.

A 15 minute ferry ride from Portland, our Maine island oasis is nestled amongst the trees at the Peaks Island Lions Club, just down the street from the ferry dock. enjoy your food on-site or take it to go and eat it at the beach like a true Italian!
